Diagnostics on the famous non return valve please?!?

So I’m blowing white smoke at WOT or higher boost, P0171, low boost, and from what I’ve seen without actually pulling off the intake manifold is that there’s absolutely no orange down either spot, does that mean it’s failed and I need to replace?

If the orange check is missing in the IM then either a new intake or the Cruze fix ( you can take some rubbing alcohol and qtips and clean it to see if the orange check is just caked up ).

Also, when you check the turbo cold side at the intake you'll find excessive blow-by which will make it's way thru everything to the throttle body. You should also check if the check in the pcv hose from the Mani to the turbo is intact as well ( careful with that how, if it's the original it can be brittle and break ). Fix for the hose is either: a- new pcv hose, b- keep oem ends and replace with braided reinforced 5/8 hose, c- keep oem end and put in baffled catch can with braided hose.

It’s not the PCV in the valve cover, I just replaced that, I meant the IM

Ahh, ok. Then it is first two pic. I'll edit my post to eliminate the valve cover.

Usually when you replace the cover should def check the intake manifold.

Which would you recommend? How hard is the Cruze fix? Vs getting a new one? Maybe get a new one for now, then Cruze fix and port the old mani?[emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

First question, are you still under warranty. If so, the Mani can be replaced.

If not under warranty, I'd probably go with the fix. Either option works.

The ones for 300+ come with throttle body/injectors/rail.

I thought mine was gone but I used an endoscope and saw it was still there. Just really dirty.
