dyno today

Had some fun on a Dyno wanted to see how the car actually pulled. Anyways it was 130hp and 138tq
Not bad for bone stock. They must have underrated these pretty good. Uncorrected the numbers went to 138 and 142 so just figured is share. I did not see a Dyno section so please move if it is in the wrong place

That's quite impressive. My Cobalt (07 L61 with auto) only put down 110hp and 112tq on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. On a Dynojet that should be right around 120hp and 124tq.

The auto kills the power for the Cobalt though. Manuals put down much better numbers...and especially the SS/SC and SS/TC.

What kind of dyno was this on?

93 octane is all i use. 3700 miles on the car. nice cool day.
dyno sheets i will get emailed to me cause the printer was not working, but sure enough i will have them when i get it tuned.

the tq jumped right up at 2.5k and stayed till about 6k just a nice flat line.

the a/f was way off. got really rich way up top. so we will end up pulling a lot from it.
the obdII plug was acting up so no tune today.


and yes my cobalt made way more than that

Was this in response to my comment? I'm sure yours made a ton more, mine is only a 2.2l.

I'm just saying I'm impressed by the numbers because they're so close to the rated crank power...not sure if they're that underrated or if the drivetrain is just that efficient in comparison to the Cobalt's drivetrains.

Yes it was, but not in a dick way ha ha ha

Yes that's why I posted it up cause it was very impressive

Eric, what is that on....it leans out then crazy power (looks like nitrous)... never seen a dyno like that at all....

I pulled my 2003 on a dyno and it was 168 HP stock (NA of course) with a 1L engine... bikes are fun lol

It's a Vtec motor out of a Honda. If it's a real dyno sheet it does that when it shifts from the economy cam lobes to the high performance cam lobes. It's like two different motors when it shifts and almost feels like a power adder has kicked in.
