For those that don't follow us on facebook, we decided to start a thread here as well.
Back in 2013 we were asked to provide parts, guidance, and tuning for a Sonic RS that was being built by Modified Magazine and would be shown at SEMA. Along with some other companies, we sent them the best of what we had available at the time. The market was very new, and there wasn't a ton of stuff available, but the build turned into what was (and mostly still is) the benchmark build that everyone aimed for.
Fast forward to 2017. The car has been mostly neglected, is missing parts, and has multiple check engine lights- despite having just over 20k miles on the odometer. Not wanting to sink money into it as they no longer have use for it, the guys over at Modified approached us with the possibility of selling us the car. We agreed- it's not often you get to buy a SEMA/Magazine car, and the price was ridiculously low.
So the car is still in California, but will be picked up this week. The plan is to get it back to its former glory, and upgrade everything we can along the way. This car will have every BNR part that we make, as well as parts from some other companies that we do business with. We'll be making it more go than show, with plans to maybe enter hill climbs, do some drag racing, autox, etc.
Will post pics when it gets here, but for thos that don't remember-
