Valkyrie

After much thought, and some merging of ideas.. I have come up with the name Valkyrie. The overly simplified version is that Valkyries are a sort of Norse War Goddesses, the name means "chooser of the slain". The Valkyries pick which soldiers die in battle and escort them to the other side.



I parallel it to myself on the track, as I pick my targets.



This is the most heavily I have ever modified a vehicle and it's awesome! I'm learning so much through having the guts to tear in and do these things all myself (unless otherwise noted) and having a blast doing it.

So what's next?

You can't escape the tune, and you won't believe the difference it makes.

Also, DDMWORKS coil cover is a great mod. Inexpensive and easier than the shifter bushings to install.

But if you are more interested in performance and sound. An intake should be on the list of urgency.

We used to play Flight of the Valkyries while flying down Tennessee St in Lawrence, KS at 6am on the way to work. That's been almost 20 years ago now. Ahhhh to be young and dumb.

My wish list is pretty much in order of how I'd like to accomplish things. You KNOW making noise is a high priority for me

Honda produced a motorcycle from 1997 to 2003 called a Valkyrie.
It was a cruiser type motorcycle powered by a 6 cylinder Goldwing based powerplant.

This just gave me an awesome idea. I already knew what my vinyl will be, but now it will be significantly cooler.

You'll have to use your imagination, and maybe someone will hop in here and further bring my idea to life. I still have to hit up the graphics people about this but I know he'll come up with something awesome.

First, my rally stripes. FallenAngel mocked this up for me a while ago and I love it. They'll be silver metallic or possibly black metallic...I'd love to see a mock of that too. I have the cf bowtie overlays on the way.

The idea furthers with the stripes on the back ending in a pair of Valkyrie wings. I'm not sure if way down on the bumper above the black, or around the bowtie...the wings would be the same width as the stripes and the stripe would kinda fade or melt into the wings.

Some ideas for the wings:

I've already started my wing motif on my rear view dangles if you look at my first post.

I think the stripes should stop at the rear of the roof and not go down the back, but that's just me.

or just do what i did with my stripes and have it stop at the chrome piece for the trunk/hatch opener. would probably look cleaner that way. but as eric said, its your sonic so do with it as you wish. just throwing ideas out there for you. Have fun with it either way!

Well if I did the wings at the bowtie that would kinda pull those two ideas together. I'll have to have them draw it up for me.

Any chance you could toss up a new full idea of the stripes in a dark charcoal? That'd be closest to the look of metallic black.

Can you put the 2nd set of wings around the bowtie the same width as the stripe and bring the wing bottom to a point at the bottom of the hatch?

Hey Insanika, i tried doing the wings as you described on the rear of the hatch and it just doesnt line up the way it needs to so it looks right. sorry, but using the black wings with the long tip just dont work back there. you would end up loosing too much of the design to get it to fit in the small area avaiable to work with. This being setting up the wings in the same area as the stripes.
