Can I Use the Wheel Spacers While Lowered?

Question: I have the DDM wheel spacers and planned to put them on with the lowering coils but chickened out at the last minute. Can I put them on the rear only or if I use them would they need to go on front and back?

Lowered doesn't change the compatibility.
Also, you can stagger them, just in the back, or just in the front without adverse effects.

I realize your question was prolly directed at Dave, and hopefully he can elaborate.

I just wanted to settle your nerves if you wanted to pull the trigger ASAP.

Eric is running the Eibach springs with DDM spacers so I would assume yes. Before I deploy again I will most likely be running the 19mm spacers with Eibach's and stock 17's.

Im on eibachs 17x8 et35 and ordered the DDM spacers...UPS says I will have them monday. Theres more than enough room and I plan on going lower as soon as I get coilovers.

I have Eibach springs and DDM spacers.

Konig Crown with 235/45R17. it's a 7.5" wheel with 40 offset.

I'm lowered 3" and the front wheels sunk in a lot at the top due to the altered camber. The rears were unaffected because of the single rear suspension.

I'm currently running DDMW spacers on all four corners. The rear is close to flush but the front could use another 6mm.

OK, I got it. I admit I sometimes take too much time and too much second guessing. On the other hand, whether the spacers go on this week or next it is just a matter of time.

Im just worried about the stress on the studs. (I have 17x7.5 et40s too.) But, 3/16th spacers seem minimal enough, its not even a quarter inch.Then again Michigan has some major pot holes.

The center hubs on the car are long enough that they penetrate the 3/16ths spacers and engage the center bore of the stock wheels (or aftermarket wheels with the same bore).

This allows the wheel to remain hub-centic and removes unwanted stress from the studs. If you are using aftermarket wheels with an oversized hub bore, I still think 3/16ths won't be enough to cause concern, and thankfully we have a 5-lug pattern to divide the stress by 5 instead of 4.

I'm not worried. as Preloader said, we have a massive hub extension, what up, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Update: I put the spacers on the rear wheels yesterday and drove around both yesterday and this morning - no problems. Will wait until I am back from my annual New Orleans trip to do the fronts. At least that is the plan.

Okay dumb question alert...what do spacers exactly do? I'm assuming that they push the wheels outboard. How do they exactly go on? I just had Eibach springs put on with the stock LTZ wheels.

They just go over the lugs between the wheel and the hub. The wheel holds them on.

They just slide onto the hub.
