Front bumper removal

For those who would like to remove their front bumper for anything like fogs, headlights, grille. I received these instructions for the grille I ordered. I thought others might find use for these.

Its not very difficult the only area that isn't described the best is after all the fasteners are out you need to flex the top corners where its screwed into the fender outward and then it will come out straight from the front.

yea be careful as to not break the tabs on the bumper sides there not made very heavy duty..

Is the moustache easily removable once you get the grill apart?
Or does it leave a void in the grill?

It'll leave a hole if you don't have another full grille to fill the space.

The grill is only 2 pieces, the black plastic and the surround(chrome). Cutting the mustache out is by no means an easy task....I've had a little experience w/ that one.

I hate that moustache.
I'm going to look for a metal honeycomb pattern like the rest of the grill or something else to get a similar look.

Checked my garage out I modified a 2013 rs grille to fit. It can be done honeycomb mastacheless

But not everyone has access to, or wants to buy, an RS grill.
We'll have to improvise

Depends on how handy you are with tools. You could have it off in half an hour if you're proficient.

Proficient.....which you won't be if you're as paranoid as me on my first go, plan two hours for off and on and add whatever time you'll need in between.

My first time taking the bumper, I removed it in about 15 min with help from a friend. Just remember the order in which you removed things. It will help you remember which screw goes where.

Oh, and "Sticky" is what the moderators of the forum can do to a thread to make sure it stays at the top of the topics list, instead of moving down and other threads are started or replied to.
