Speaker Wire Color Codes

I spent too long searching for the color codes so I thought I'd just post them. I also found an interesting article on a good spot for a remote wire for an amp. The power socket in the center console, I thought it was great considering it has power when you start up, and then it maintains power until you open the door with the ignition off. Here they are:

Front Left- Blue & Blue/Brown
Front Right- Yellow & Yellow/Black
Rear Left- Green & Green/Black
Rear Right- White & Blue/Black
Power Socket Positive- Purple/Yellow

Thanks for this post. I was able to verify that what I found on the Cruze forum matches. You'd think this info would be easier to find. My equipment should be here today and Monday so I'll probably start my install in a week or two. One question, were you able to tap into the power socket wire in the harness by the driver's kick panel or did you have to run the remote wire to the console?

Keep in mind that after 10mins the power outlet turns off, but you can still press the power on the radio to turn it back on.

I'm going to be installing an AudioControl LCQ-1 and it seems like it will provide the remote turn turn on by a signal sense. It even seems like it should power up and allow the door chimes to play.

I tested out the LCQ-1 and it will definitely allow the speaker chimes to play through your amps if they are hooked up to remote turn on of the LCQ-1.

Now that is only because the LCQ-1 is always on but I believe that is because I left the stock tweeters in. The tweeters have capacitors on them. I'll have to double check if it would work if you unhooked tweeters but I was on my way to bed when I was checking it out.

Still plays through with tweeters unhooked. Mine arent hooked up.

Sorry apparently when you don't realize that you put a jumper wire between the remote out and remote in the LCQ-1 will stay on indefinitely.

I'm now positive that the LCQ-1 will turn on and off with the speakers. This also includes turning on when the door chimes start. It appears to turn off after about 20secs after door chime or speakers off.

Thanks for the pic. It helped me alot. All I had to fo was look for the 2 wires that were intertwinned. Hooked up rear speakers and sounds so much better. I hook my phone or Sirius thru the Aux jac. Looking at a Kenwood 500bt head unit. After researcjing things I feel I can fo the install myself.

What are the tweeters hooked up to if everything seems to be set up like only 4 speakers are running? Are they connected to the door speakers or stand alone?

Hello, so i take it the black and the brown is gonna be the negative for the speaker polarity?
