Any other rotors work for the ZZP rear disc brake kit?

I'd like rear discs, and the ZZP kit is definitely the right price, but I'm not a fan of their brake rotors. More to the point, I won't run cross-drilled rotors on my vehicles. Personal preference - not interested in starting a debate - I'm just wondering if there are different rotors that would work with the kit that are not cross-drilled. :/

Zzp used re-drilled cobalt rotors. There is no other rotor I know of that you can slap on and work, but I don't think anyone has tried the rs rear rotor.

I am also not a fan of the included pads and where the parking brake cable attaches to the caliper.

You might be able to contact r1 concepts and they might be able to re-drill and set of there cobalt rotors.

Scot, (or anyone) do you know how the Sonic's rear brakes adjust? As in, do you have to make a firm stop in reverse all of the time like older drums?

Welp, I'm confused.
All of the drum brakes I worked on in the past the adjuster went between the two shoes at the bottom and would slowly unscrew and spread them apart.


I don't see that going on there.

It seems our adjuster is hidden just under the wheel cylinder in your picture $ub.

"David, if the starwheel is located just under the wheel cylinder, the auto adjustment is done by the parking brake. If the star wheel is located at the base of the brakes and acts as the hinge point for the shoes, then the adjustment is done by backing up.
Japanese cars all adjust by the parking brake as do many new American models."
