Anyone know how to get rear lower? I already ready complete removed perches....next idea is just take whole spring out hahahahahahaha (horrible joke teller )

ive wanted to know the same thing for a while now, what coils are you running? I have Cx racing coils and was starting to look into removing the shock out of the cup and seeing if there is extra threads that i could cut off and re-thread and get a custom spring, but if any one else has a better answer please chime in

I'm running BC racing BR type. I just want the rear lower. My exhaust tip is literally like 3.75 inches from the ground. I can't even fit a pack of cigarettes under it haha
What's keeping it from going lower, the spring or the shock? If it's the spring, you can get clamps to pull 2 of the coils together. It won't do great things for your ride, but they're not as dangerous as cutting or heating the springs. The shock is another issue. You'll need to find a shorter shock or mod the mount. I miss the old books auto parts stores used to have back in the day. You could look up shocks by their mounting type, extended and compressed length, and load rating.

There's no way you could pay me to run compressors that compress the spring permanently, I just see issues down the road doing that.
Buy coilovers and start cutting things up is the way to go lower. Custom airbags are probably an option as well.

With my cx racing setup I can plant the nose on the ground but the rear stays up. The only way I see getting the rear lower is cut the springs or get bags for the rear like epic22 stated

Are these manual adjust or electronic adjust? I would guess they are manual?
Does anyone make electronic adjustable one for the Sonic?

Can I ask why are you trying to go lower then you actually are now? What size rims and tires do you have? I hope not stock or under a size 18..
WAs your preload set before you started to lower that?
You'll need to mod the shock mount or go to a air ride. The coilovers like BC/CX/DG and pretty much any set you can buy for 1200 or less won't hold up. Look into zeal/JIC/GC or swift springs with better rates

yeah mine is still on stock wheels, so i know once i get the wheels i want it'll already be lower because of the difference in tire sizes. because there is no way i can run an 18 with almost 3" of tire on the pavement. i hadn't put that thought into play when i made this haha
