Just bought a 2015 Sonic LT turbo and yes, it's green

Hi guys. I bought a Dragon Green 2015 and I hope I didn't make the wrong decision. It has 60k on it but only 2 years old, you wouldn't expect too many issues. It's still at the lot, they replaced an ABS sensor, the a fan motor then thermostat. I hope that's it. I can't believe I bought a green car. I am 48 years old and needed a daily commuter 2 hours a day in traffic too. It's an automatic. I assume I can use regular gas in it. Any advice, tips, etc.? Are they good in snow?

I have a 14 LT turbo auto and got it with 11 miles and now it has 64k dragon green gets the best complaments...[emoji41] [emoji106]

Thanks guys. Yeah, 87 octane is OK to use per the manual. Is the turbo integrated into the header and cooled with oil? Interesting. Once I'm able to post pics I will but you know what I have. I hope it's good in snow

Snow performance is totally dependent on the tires. I have 3 Sonics in west Michigan. We get about 150 inches each winter. Four snows is really the way to go, but the Pirelli P4's that Sam's Club sells do a pretty good job.

I ran the stock hankooks through an 8 month Alberta winter and survived. But I would not recommend it.

Yeah 150kms to work and back alone each day....lol. in the year I've had it I've put on 60,000kms.
I run royal purple full synthetic.
It seems to do well. Haven't overheated mine ever but I live in Canada so....
I know it's a no no but I wound up having to start it one morning in -39c/f because snowboarding trip/no extension chord. Started right up. It's a great little car.only trouble I've had with it in winter is moisture buildup on the sensor which throws a code and send it into limp mode.

So my first commute was today, 1 hour each way. Avg 35mpg over 60 mph. My left elbow is sore, the side door is hard and need a small cushion to rest your elbow on. With the air on, not much power. I like the infotainment in it. I hope I don't need snow tires. I have Kumho Solus 205 55 R16 91t

Sorry I didn't see this till now...
It's not that it goes bad, but sometimes going from warm to suddenly extreme cold (garage to outside) you can get moisture buildup in the intercooler which plays hell with the sensor.
