Hey guys and gals!
New to this forum and looking for some insight on our standard 2012 Chevy Sonic LT. Recently (2 or so months) it has has a rough idle but nothing crazy. Over the past few weeks it has gotten worse and we have added a few other symptoms. Engine light came on so I plugged a code reader in and found it was throwing 32 codes....Some of the codes were repeats but I will list them all below. Can someone please give us ideas on what may be the problem(s)? I've done a bit of research and think maybe one of the issues is an air intake hose is cracked but other than that I'm a bit overwhelmed in where to start...
P00171 - Bank 1 System too lean
P1101 - Intake air flow system performance
P015B - 02 Sensor delayed response - lean to rich (bank 1 sensor 1)
P00B7 - Engine coolant flow/low performance
P2270 - Oxygen sensor signal stuck lean bank 1 sensor 2
P2228 - Barometric Pressure sensor circuit low voltage
P2227 - Barometric pressure circuit range/performance
P11C2 - Intake air humidity sensor circuit low voltage
P0507 - Idle air control system revolutions per minute higher than expected
P0113 - Intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit high input
P0106 - Manifold absolute pressure/barometric pressure sensor range/performance
P0097 - Intake air temperature sensor 2 circuit low
C0561 - No DTC definition found
Symptoms - rough idle, will sometimes almost stall out, if I pull the clutch about halfway out (whether in gear or not) it will come back up to a normal idle most of the time but not every time. going through coolant pretty quickly but cant find where it is leaking. It was leaking oil but we changed the valve cover gasket and it took care of that problem. Inspected the valve cover and there is no damage to it yet (we know it's a common issue with these). Sometimes when shifting down to 2nd gear the RPMs will reach about 4-5 when they should be around the 3 mark for the speed we are going. Sometimes the engine will feel like it is "lagging and pulling", mostly when it is in 4th but occasionally in other gears as well.
I know this is a lot and if we need to break down and just take it to a mechanic we will but we have plenty of brains and tools at our disposal that we would rather use first if possible! Just trying to get ideas of things we need to check out and see if we can get the problem figured out! Thanks in Advance for any help!
