2017 Passenger Side Headlight Assembly

Hey everyone, I am looking for some help. For about 2 weeks now I have noticed that my passenger side headlight has a lot of condensation in it. So today I had time to take a look and found a 2~3 inch crack on the top of the assembly. From what I found the part number is "GM Headlamp 42636366" Would someone be able to verify this.

Also The cheapest I found the assembly for was $266.22 + a $50 core charge. Including shipping that puts the headlight assembly at $332.89. That seems a bit much and excessive for a headlight housing.

Looks like that would be your part. Price isn't that crazy. Its an hid with led running lights of a brand new car. Us gen 2 drivers will just have to deal with the steep pricing for now

JB Weld is a viable fix (or other epoxy)

A headlamp for the gen 1 Sonic is $70 on rockauto.com, they look better, and I've had three of these cars and never needed one....

The "flat" style headlamps have long seals on their edges which can go bad and let water in. I'd try sealing the one you have after drying it out. I had some luck blowing one out with a hair dryer on a Malibu we had, then I sealed it. Of course, that was at about 5 years and 80k miles.

If you bought your Sonic new, I'd ask the dealer or GM to help with it. Never hurts to ask.
