Any double din will fit, but you will need a dash kit like the one sold by Metra.

Thanks for the link, but that's for a 2012 - 2016 Sonic, mine is a 2020 and I could not find one for mine.

Right, I forgot they changed radio trim. All the wiring should be the same for any adapters you need.
The stock radio looks like it leaves a nice square hole in the trim which should look good with any radio, but you may need a custom bezel/spacer to fit right. and it would leave a hole where the stock volume knob is.
Assuming the mounting for the radio is different too, you may need to customize that too.
This looks like it would fit well, but probably would also benefit from a spacer around the edge of the radio.

I did a quick search and there are no places that advertise a direct replacement for a 2020 model.
