is there a way to speed up the power windows? new motors, new battery, or anything to get windows up or down faster?

Not that I know of.
Are your windows slow, or do you just want them faster? Mine seem to be about the same speed as every other car with power windows. If they are slow maybe the regulator needs to be lubed, the motor is going bad, or the track is out of adjustment.

thanks, taking to dealer to repair driver seat - it's locked too close to the steering wheel and won't go forward or back
i'll ask the to check windows, motor sounds like it's all it can do to get window up and it's very slow, slower if i try to raise or lower 2 at a time (why i was thinking battery)

I do not have crank windows in my Sonic but somehow can not help but agree.

Amperage=volts/resistance. Since the motor is the the resistance and the battery/alternator is the voltage. You would need to reduce the resistance or increase the voltage. Increasing the voltage enough to make a difference will cause most other electronics in the car to fry. To reduce the resistance you would need to open the motor and remove windings off of the armature.
It's probably best to find the cause of the window being slow, and fix it. Instead of trying to modify something else as a bandaid.

my passenger front window has always been slower than the drive side. Not sure which of yours is slower...

Disassemble door, clean tracks, and regrease.

Lower your windows, spray some of this stuff on all three sides of the window seal/track. Blaster - Silicone Lube
My passenger window took at least 20 seconds to roll up. The driver side, when i used the auto up function, would roll up halfway and then drop back down. I sprayed this crap in there and the windows work super fast right now Didn't even have to take off the door panel!
