I have a 2013 Sonic 1.4 Turbo, and my dealer says my camshaft seal is leaking oil and is not covered by warranty. Car has 65,000 miles on it. Does anyone know if it is true that it is not covered, and where I could find a list of what is covered under the drivetrain warranty?

I don't know about the warranty, but those seals are very easy to replace.

Idk about what kind of warranty you have but the dealer replaced my cam seals on my cruze 1.4 under warranty.

These seals in particular on my 2013 started leaking at 48,000. $11, 4 beers and 30 minutes later, no more leaming.

Straight from the video I posted a link to:
1) Make a note of the orientation of each actuator or take a picture.
2) Disconnect battery. Not only for safety but disconnecting some sensors with the PCM powered can cause codes to be triggered on next startup.
Optional: Remove airbox if you require more access.
3) Use a flat-head screwdriver to disengage the safety lock on the electrical connector then disconnect from actuator.
4) Use an E10 socket to remove the bolts. There are 2 per actuator.
5) Pry/pull out the actuator, remove the old seal and throw it out.
6) Lightly lube up the new seal with fresh engine oil and install on actuator.
7) Clean pilot bores on timing cover and lightly apply some fresh oil.
8) Push in the actuators until they fully bottom out while making sure orientation of connectors is the same as before removal.
9) Install bolts and torque to 71 lb-in.
10) Reconnect electrical connectors and safety them.
Optional: Reinstall airbox if previously removed.

Follow Madmatts write up, it's a simple task, not even job. The only way to mess this up is to chuck your actuators into oncoming traffic and pee in the cam cover.
