I use it to hold my Nexus card when driving across the border (MI-Canada-NY). Conveniently in reach when I get to the booth.

Funny story... When I first got my Sonic, I was highly curious about that little slot as well. I was attempting to slide "something" in there to see how deep it went, just so happens that "something" was a condom... I got it stuck. I could get it out with a pair of needle nose or something, but I think it adds a personal touch to my interior. Besides, I wouldn't use that thing for holding credit cards anyway. At least now I'll always have an emergency back-up in my car.

OMG yes yes....thats whats its for lol
Honestly going to find a mount for my phone to modify to slide in....seems like a natural centered spot right below the sterio. Get all my tunes from google music and gps right there. Cant wait =]
I use it for my military ID when I leave for work. That way, I don't cause additional congestion at the gate fishing my wallet out of one of my 63,341 pockets.

My card holder is used for GPS and phone
1/8" plexi?
Instantaneous purchase of carbon offsets based on driving style and mileage? LolWhen you insert the card and the radio display says PLEASE REMOVE CARD QUICKLY it is time to worry!
Actually, it would be kind of cool if you could program your radio to do this and have a subtle button to activate the message.
You could see how many people you could convince that you had leased the car by the mile with a "pay as you go" contract and had to swipe your card before it would run.
