Connecting iPod via a Aux to USB?

I can't seem to find anything straight forward, or if anything I have found will work.

My Sonic does not have the usb port in the glove box, and therefore just has the AUX jack on the front of the radio.

Is there a cable that goes from the iPod connection (The one on the bottom of the iPod) to an AUX jack?

So it would be something like this:

(iPod)[USB connection]---------[Aux input](Radio)

I do not need it to charge, so a standard USB connection is not needed.



Or would I need to Jerry rig my own setup with a bunch of adaptors?

Its not going to be possible that way. The only way to connect your iPod to the AUX in is through a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, and you will have to control the iPod from itself, not the radio.

I'm fine with controlling it by the iPod, but my idiot brother dropped it while plugged in and messed up the headphone jack of the iPod.

And what size is the input?

If I recall correctly, yes, its a 3.5mm input.

I can't check because I swapped out my radio for a double din touchscreen.
