Ok I am sure this has been posted but I figured I would do a quick write up! Installed a defi boost gauge today here were my steps.
Time 1.5 hours including trip to autozone.
1. Autozone
5/32 hose 10ft long. 7-8 would be plenty
5/32 t-fitting. (Got the big value box just for good measures
Add-fuse 10a mini and a few spare fuses
Auto meter gauge pod
2. Used the "green stripe" hose that is located on the passenger side of the manifold. Easy to access and using the 5/32 you don't need to cut anything. Just simply use about 2" of hose on one end on the tee fitting. The other end of the tee goes to the stock green hose. And the connect the hose to the manifold. Very easy took about 5 minutes at this point.
And the tee section is for the new hose to the inside car. (That part sucks)
3. Running to inside of car.
(Warning, those with big arms-me- should remove battery of possible).
Find the main wire harness that goes through fire wall. Located behind battery left side of the brake booster. This you need to get creative and just find a way to get the hose through. (Good luck)
4. Test gauge and for leaks. Before you mount go ahead and hook the gauge up (no power) and make sure it reads boost and vac.
If good go ahead and mount gauge pod. Here is my pic of where I installed. I just used 1/2 inch long self tapping screws that came with the gauge pod (again get creative but done go to far). Ensure that your wiper switch has enough room to move
Run the wires as best you can
5. Wire time. Using the add a fuse I connected it to the hdlp fuse. Should be the third one from the left on the top row (check owners manual for your car.
Ground wire. Just find a good spot that has body metal and just hook it up. I used the bolt that you can see when you pull the fuse cover (10mm I think).
Now just make sure all hoses and wires are cleaned up under dash and enjoy.
