Do you give your car a nickname?

I was just curious how many people give their cars a nickname or not. My first car I owned was a '96 Lumina and it being 16 years old used to break on a regular basis so I nicknamed it the 'Millennium Falcon' from Star Wars. Because in the movie the 'Millennium Falcon' broke all the time. I bought my Sonic about a week ago and don't want to give it a nickname. I've heard giving your car a nickname is a girly thing to do. Just curious what others think or if they nickname their cars?

I've never heard that it's girly to give cars nicknames.

Mine is Nox.
(It's latin for night.)

I named mine Betsy II because my first car was named Betsy and she treated me pretty good. So I decided to call my first new car Betsy II, with hopes that she will treat me good also.

Haven't thought of a name for the Sonic yet though 'Sonic' as in short for Sonic Screwdriver works well enough for me. My motorcycle is a Victory Vegas 8-Ball named Raoul Duke after Hunter S. Thomspons' main character in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Heh, I think you'll find that it is "this thing which tells time." He refers to a sundial on the stock thta didnt actually appear on the Red Ryder model, but did on a different one.

My '70 Volkswagen van (I still have) is "Bessy" My sister named it because it reminded her of a cow. It's big, it's white it's slow and lumbers around corners. The tercel was "Red FSB" My Elantra was Vader as in Darth Vader. It was the only name Kristen and I could think up to call a Black Black Car with tinted windows. Now for the one I own now it's called "Super" That's right just "Super" We where thinking "Super Sonic" "Sonic Boom" "Sonic The Hedgehog" and "Sonic Sonic Sonic"

1991 Honda Civic: Jane (because Jane Honda)

1996 GMC Jimmy: James (not real original)

My wifes old purple Chevy Cavalier: Grimmace

WRX: Rex

My wife's old Acura RL: Lexus (long stupid story)

I called the car "Lucky7" when I found it on the dealer lot - the odometer had 7 miles on it and it was bought right after a trip to Atlantic City, the name sort of stuck...
