From the front I side jack the car up just til the tire stats to leave the ground, then I use a second jack on the subframe to lift the rest of the way, the rear I jack on the bar that connects the rear wheels
There are what appears to be frame rails under the car on either side of the center tunnel... dont lift here. I put a small dent in one while starting to life with a floor jack.
The best place to lift from is right on the Half-Moon cutouts in the pinch weld along the side of the car, You have to life each corner seperately but I have never had issues with instability or bending/denting when lifting from here.
Reviving an old thread to ask about jacking up points for the front of the 2013 RS; it looks like the side skirts are in the way but it could mean I am overlooking something.
Rear bolt for the front subframe. Works great, the jack lifting cup surrounds it so it cant slip off, and its very solid. I can lift one complete side off the ground from that point with no noticeable ill effects.
Thanks Clyde. I tried to get my bottle jack under there but not enough clearance. I did get the jack out but it is too hot for me to try this. Maybe after six or seven when things cool down.
