GL-4 or GL-5

Hello All,

I have 2012 5 speed 1.8, and its time for a fluid change.

Most gear oils that are available are both GL-4/GL-5 compatible. Is it wise to use these oils, or should I find a GL-4 only gear oil? Dealer is selling ACDelco BOT 303 70W GL-4, but its $36 a quart! What brand and weight are you guys using?

Thanks, I've read that thread, very good.

However, it doesn't address my GL-4 or GL-5 concern. The Royal Purple mentioned is compatible for both 4 and 5. Redline MT90 mentioned is GL-4 only and 75W90. The Amsoil seems to be a different weight than the other gear oils at 5W30.
