Hi,
Have a 2014 LT Hatchback with 14,122 miles. When I remove ignition key, the metal is very hot. Also seems hard to insert key. Not sure if that's normal because keys have become thicker.
The battery was replaced a month ago for leaking acid. Had leaked so much the ring around terminal was half eaten and positive cable was also damaged and replaced. Dealer supposedly had done multi point check with oil change 4 months earlier and didn't report leak.
Dealer said was just a faulty battery. I'm wondering if the key metal being so hot means something electrical is wrong and that's why battery acid leaked.
