Mine was a 10mm bolt head on the drain plug.
Nice little plug with O-ring--one of the better factory ones I've come across, sine it's hard to over-tighten something like that with only a 10mm head.
I installed a Fumoto valve at the first oil change--love these things.

For for both the 1.8 and 1.4T, the drain plug is an M14-1.5 thread (GM P/N 55568037).

I'm going to buy a fumoto valve. Which one do you think will work the best on a 1.4L?
I was kinda leaning towards the one that swivels but I'm not sure how much clearance I'll have after I lower it.

i just bought the F106. hopefully it gets here by the weekend so i can do another oil change.

I got the one with the nipple, simply because a drain tube could be affixed if one wanted to do so.

The F106S has a shorter nipple on it.
Take pictures of the F106N you ordered once it's installed. I'm curious as to how much ground clearance there is with it.

Old thread but good thread. Amazon pointed me to wrong model, but I checked and got the 106S ordered, and was on sale for $6 off. I have Fumoto on my 2006 Nissan Titan Pickup and have had on Generators at work, never had a failure. Keeps things easy and neater. 106S should still be higher than other areas around it. These are well trusted items in industrial applications. We just got a 2016 1.8L Hatchback. Loving the car so far.
