Would 93-01 Impreza dash gauge pod work?

Looking around at triple 52mm dash mount gauge pods that might work and not look like crap, I keep coming back to one made for the 93 -01 Subaru Impreza. I'm sure it would not sit over the dash cubby like it was made for the Sonic, but it sure looks like with a little bit of careful shaping and a good matching paint job, it may just look right at home.

Does anyone have an Impreza or know anyone where they could see just how close the fit is? It's not that expensive, I may just get one to play around with.

What do you guys think?

I was thinking of something that may fit and look good without having to do too much modification, otherwise yeah, you could just start with any universal gauge pod and blend it in. There is another thread where someone did that with a two gauge pod and I was wanting to avoid that amount of custom work.

Not a matte black finish, but a satin finish, some dremel work, some sanding, etc...

I wonder how it sticks to the Subby dash, I don't see any screw holes/connections?

It's on ebay, the add says double sided foam tape. Not a fan of mounting permanent type fixtures with tape myself, if you were to screw it on you could at least make it look high-tech with socket head cap screws or something. Yeah it would definitely need to be painted to better match.
