Flush Your Stock Wheels

I got some hub-centric spacers to try to get my stock wheels flushed out better.
Thank you Opticon for leading me in the right direction.

19mm Adapter Spacers:

I was pleased to find that the recesses in the hub of the stock wheels had room for the original studs, alleviating the need to cut them down.

The rear is pretty damn flush. The increased camber in front from the 2" drop I did, sunk the wheels in a bit so they didn't quite flush up with these spacers, but I'm satisfied.


I had my hubcentric adapters made by Motorsport-Tech .

The info you will need:
Bolt Pattern: 5x105mm
Hub Bore: 56.59mm
Lug thread: 12x1.5
Approx~$240

Thats a huge improvement! This might be a real option for me, I really didn't want to chop the lugs off, but it's clearly not a problem on the stock 17's. Thanks for the specs!

You don't know how relieved I was that I didn't have to cut the studs down. This leaves my options open, if I find 105 x 5 rims, I won't have to re-lug, which is a biotch.

Your wheel lug is 5x105, if you want to change wheels and get spacers that's completely fine. But if you're going to swap wheels why not get a wheel with the offset you want and save the 240 on spacers for the new wheels and tires. I think this is more of an option for people that want to keep the stock wheels but be more flush.

I'm not saying anything about off set but there is very little wheel selection out there. I love the 17s or even the cruze 5 spoke 16's but if I'm spending cash to change wheels I'm going to go with something outstanding. And preloaders build is just that. No offence too anyone just asking.

Like I've said elsewhere, the spacers are temporary. Lowering it really emphasized the amount of empty fender well. I just could not live with it.

Now that it looks acceptable, I don't feel pressure to hurry up and decide on what wheels to get. I will likely be holding out for something with the stock 105 x 5 pattern though, so I don't have to use adapters. They add 8lbs of unsprung weight, and if you know me at all, you know that a deal breaker on a more permanent level.

And I doubt I'll have a problem selling the spacers when I'm done with them.

None taken, just passing info. If I had any plans of going with something other than the LTZ wheels I put on my LT I wouldn't buy spacers. If you have a desire to go with aftermarket then these spacers in the 5x100 adaption would be perfect for getting the bigger selection. But, it will only take time before they start cutting more wheels in the 5x105 measurement.

Most wheel manufacturers will drill lug patterns to your desire.... at a premium.

I'm really falling in love with these Opel wheels. 18 x 8 aluminum and 105 x 5.
I'm still trying to find out the weight though, and how much it would cost to ship over the pond.

I can feel that weight issue. I have an lt with 15's and absolutely hate them. But until I find a set of decent wheels for the 5x105 with a good offset ill suck it up. But the spacers aren't an option because of my love of mid offset wheels and a meaty tire.

How much added weight from the spacers now? Going in the opposite direction there...I know it's only temporary, but doesn't help.

1 lbs for a huge increase in handling and way better stance is well worth it.
