I just bought some Putco interior LED lights, wondering if anyone has anything similar and if you like them. If anyone has done them any tips on replacing them?
I should be getting them tomorrow! I might try to make a how to if anyone is looking to do the same. I'm thinking it should be easy though.
Just white, I didn't find too many different types as far as color or quality. Though, I didn't look very long.
Link to the ones I got:
Amazon.com: Putco 980267 Premium LED Dome Light: Automotive
To give you an update, I installed the lights yesterday!
They were all fairly easy. You just pop them out and put in the new LEDs.(for those who dont know the factory lights get hot FAST)
The front dome can be tricky, so you pop out the large grey piece(which doesnt come all the way off and if it does it fooled me) then pop out the part covering the lights. and if you have sausage fingers you'll have a hard time pulling the bulbs out so you might want to get someone with little fingers LOL. then, obviously, pop it all back in.
The one's i bought work great and are VERY bright. ) Try to post some pictures.
Hi, could you show some pics or be more specific on the process for the front ones. I've been trying like crazy but there seems to be some clips that lock the bulb in place.
Thanks!
jiggle and pull, thats the socket, not clips

Putco are great bulbs, what color did you go with? I usually use V-LED's though.
I want to swap the interior lights for Red LEDs and Putco doesn't sell LEDs in red. I was wondering if you could shed some light on the sizes of LEDs I would need.

Yes they still dim out. Both my parents have them in there cars as well.when you replace the factory bulbs with led , do the led still slowly dim out ?
