That is when it dropped below stock levels. I did that yesterday morning. When I get up I plan on getting a log done. Then reflash to stock.
The only reason I started to look at the UG reading was due a noticeable feeling of a lack of power and the engine sounding like it did when stock. The UG appears to confirm the butt dyno.
The lack of response makes me think its going to be later. Kinda bummed since they are my only option. I just hope I dont have some other issue going on that is not throwing a code for some reason.
Yes. I had been dealing with Vince and Steve directly for my logs though. Still no response to my last email. Might just go back to a stock program until someone from Trifecta shows back up.
Sorted out the EZ Flash issue. Went back to a stock program and was showing near stock rated power. Re flashedthe performance program and dropped even further. Nothing like having an intake, full exhaust, and a "performance" tune and making a whopping 117 HP. Going back to a stock program right now. Until Trifecta starts supporting their product again I dont have much choice.
Ran the stock program for the weekend to see how things went. Logged it and had another forum member take a look. Right around stock torque numbers as expected. This morning I attempted yet another full reflash and it seems to be working this time. Just waiting to hear back on what the reported torque number is now.
I did finally get a response to my last email pertaining to my tune issues. More lack of useful information. Oh well. Guess I wont be building a motor unless I step up to a full stand alone system. Not a fan of that route for a DD though, especially since my goal is only in the 225-250WHP range.
Still waiting to hear back from them. Last I knew they did not support the E83 ECM. Last week they had me take a picture of the ECM and its information sticker on the back. They are checking to see if there will be any support in the future for it.
I do not expect a positive answer since the 1.8 is a very limited market for performance modifications.
Talking with HPT about support, and do plan to check with V tuners for possible support. The tune available is basically a canned tune. I dont know if they will try to tweak it since it "looks good" per the times I have gotten a response.
I can at least log and review with HPT now. I managed to get the software and drivers installed to allow my computer to talk to my car through the interface. Somewhat limited though, but still a good start.
Still waiting to hear back about support for the E83 ECM. I really do not expect the answer I want to hear, but its worth a shot. Being able to log and review is huge for me right now though.
Never did get a response from HPTuners. Tried several times but no response. Oh well. Trifecta was at least able to make the throttle opening closer to the accelerator pedal input. Oddly enough the throttle maxes at 85% open. Supposedly it is an error with the logging software I am using. I have my doubts though.
Picked up a GO Pro and did get a few quick videos of the exhaust.
"cold start", 60* coolant temp after sitting for a couple hours.
Part throttle acceleration, almost warmed up
WOT, warmed up engine. The exhaust sounds much better when it is "up to temp". I have noticed this with every Magnablow muffler I have used on any of my vehicles.
