Just as an update for anyone with a sedan I am seeing much less build up on my back window, trunk and bumper from road grime since I installed the roof spoiler. I can also actually see the water droplets dancing on the back glass as I drive down the road and I couldn't see that happen before I put the spoiler on.

Also was thinking that maybe if I cut a small opening at the bottom of the spoiler it would force more air down the back to blow off more water and road grime. To do this I would just remove the spoiler mark out a box from the bottom up and use a dado blade in the table saw to notch it out. Not sure I will go this far with it but let me know what y'all think about it.

Now imagine how bad the back of a white car looks with all that crap on it!

The water blowing off the back window while you drive looks just like when you hit the drive through car wash dryer, so it def gets the air moving around the rear.

Very creative! I like the continually changing colors of the wheels with the seasons. Do you remove the previous color when you repaint/dip them?

Thanks!! Nope I just dip right over the previous color so that it's nice and thick and doesn't chip from road debris.

All I do before I spray the wheel is wipe it down with Naphtha and put on a Nitrile glove and use my fingers to smooth out any blemishes. Then I wipe it with alcohol let dry and spray.

I know right?? The wifey ordered it for me for Christmas so she got it painted, but I woulda just dipped it too.

Just saw that it is $79 painted so its def better to buy it raw.

I'm curious. Do you think that the water's blowing off now because more turbulent air is hitting it than before? If they are 'dancing', that could be why. Whereas before, most of the air was blowing slightly higher and over, thus having less effect on the water on the glass.

Over spray?!

How hard was it to get off the over spray? I have been wanting to do almost the same thing you have done but with out the goatee and trooper. My sonic came with the black grill, wheels and a stylish dual pin strip down both sides. I am also thinking about 2 - 3 inch racing strips down the top center bumper to bumper.

If you tape it off like I did in my pics and make sure you get a nice coat all the way up to tape edge it will just peel off. If you have overspray anyplace else just wipe it down with rubbing alcohol when you peel the tape up.

Also helps to put the cans in a sink with hot water so it thins out some and sprays better. I am in the process of re coating everything much thicker now so it holds up longer.

Well I've got a big reggae festival I am going to tomorrow so I ordered some yellow Plastidip because my wheels are green already and I have 2 cans of red so I will be doing some sort of Rasta coloring on my wheels just haven't decided how to approach it yet??

Would the standard 3 bar Rasta colors look good?

Or maybe just a freestyle spray job with random placement of red, green and yellow??

Other Idea I had was just do random on the wheels and do the 3 bars on the hood.

If you have some other ideas let me know because I will be doing it in the morning before the festival.

I got the full spectrum yellow but I think I may still shoot a quick cover of white over my existing green that I want to use the red and yellow on so the color is more true and not with a green base. The cap looks really yellow so I hope it sprays the same color as the cap.

Goood yea the full spectrum sprays wayyyy better than the blaze. Its a bit thicker if you will. It will cover alot better.
