Since the release is electric, creating a remote release would be the easy part. A remote opener is another animal all together. It essentially will require adding a linear actuator that can lift the hatch, creating the wiring needed to power it. (They dray a lot of current.), and then dealing with the remote part. There are several aftermarket alarms that can roll down windows, open doors, etc., so that part wouldn't be too difficult. I personally think squeezing a linear actuator in there will be the most difficult part.
