Got an offer from a company up thar and am looking into relocating, myself first probably for a couple months then bringin the family up. I'll prob have to rent till I get my home in Indiana either sold or rented out, that being said.... anyone have any leads to affordable, short term housing like studio or 1bdrm apts? I stayed in a month to month apt/extended stay of sorts in Bellevue previously, but the rent's too damn high now that I gotta cough it up (not my employer) I found some studios in the city, but all seem to be 9-12 months leases. I don't really mind too much where I end up for the first couple months but am a little more worried as to where I bring the family to. Schools are one big factor as I have a elementary and middle school aged kids. I've used both Zillow and craigslist but could use some local advice.
I got a good idear of what areas to avoid (SeaTac and vicinity for the most part) I hear it'd be cheaper to live outside King Co and commute, is there any benefits to that myth? Looking for places for the family near Bellevue (where I previously stayed/worked) Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Lynnwood, Greenwood, Bothell, and as far as Monroe. Office will be in "atlantic" neighborhood kinda near the Link and I90/I5, so I don't want to go too far norf. I Don't like the idea of taking a ferry everyday so I'd like stay east of the sound if I can help it.

UPDATE!!!


Ended up getting a studio in Greenwood neighborhood for 2 months while searching for a suitable location for the family. Really liked the city life, but it's really not ideal for raising two kids imo... at least in the areas I liked/could afford. It ended up coming down to commute time and schools/kid friendly locations (north Seattle/Bothel area vs. East/Issaquah-Sammamish areas)
Found a brand new apartment development in the Issaquah-Highlands. Same $ as everyone else was aksin for, but everything brand new and a 1 car garage:banana:, only catch it's on the 3rd/top floor:blankface: at least there wont be anyone doing Mexican hat dances on my ceiling :D(at least the schools kick arse!!, and there's nearby retail) Great location since my office is pretty much at I-5/I-90 area (Rainier n Dearborn) May be moving my office souf near Georgetown in a couple months tho:blankface::blankface::blankface: hoping an extra 10-15 min drive down 99 to my commute.

Which brings me to my question..

I'll be ready for an erl change in the upcoming weeks(i'll eventually be changin my own... I'm still under free maintanence for another 22k miles), and am looking for a reputable Chevy dealer. I noticed there's one in Issaquah off I-90, but am wondering if there are any personal experiences with any dealers in the area. Looking to stay within reasonable driving distance from Issaquah or Seattle. Looking to make this my go to dealer for future work and possible car purchases... (i'm rookin at you Colorado!)

Bahhh... could have been a tour guide to Chucks for my short-term bachelorhood (wife will be heading back to Indiana to wrap up some loose ends.... singledadhood)!! I'm not in Greenwood anymore, but wouldn't mind hanging/wrenching. All my tools still need to be shipped over. I still have 3 freeeee oil changes from chevy, but once that's over I'm in!! It's my excuse not to start modding the car.....yet......

Sorry, I do all my own work so I cant really recommend one. I've used Bill Pierre in Lake City as it's close to my folk's house (bought my TBSS there) and Burien Chevrolet where I bought my Sonic.

I recommend sunset Chevrolet in Sumner. They rebuilt my motor and have been top notch in customer service with fantastic people I've dealt with. I know MaD uses them too

I can tell you the best Chevrolet dealership up in your area that I know is Roy Robinson Chevrolet. Problem is it's about 40 miles north on I-5 in Marysville (just north of Everett). That's where I bought my new 2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ Hatchback (1.4L turbo 6spd man) back in December 2011.

Ryan is a service consultant there and I've known him since 1999. They've been probably the best dealership I've ever had the pleasure buying a car from (and I've bought 3 from them)! Unfortunately, I've moved and now live down in Oregon. But if you're interested, their address is:

LTturboguy, that is kinda up in my neck of the woods although I don't get over to Whidbey very often. Do you every make it over to the mainland? If so I'll keep an eye out for you on I-5!

I do quite a bit I've been exploring but as of now we're driving the mom wagon until my sonic get released from the shipping yard! Hopefully sometime this week. We should all have a meet sometime!

I got my Sonic from Sunset Chev, got the lifetime oil changes and car wash.. the guys down there are on top of it, John the service mgr has a 2013 RS I think cant remember the year, but loves all the things I have done to my Green Dragon :D
