Before my 2013 Sonic LTZ 1.4L/MT I drove a 2004 Nissan Xterra. That vehicle served me well but I got bored with it and gas mileage was kinda sucky. I gave the Xterra to my niece and she loves it. Lucky for her gas prices have fallen so that she can probably fill the tank for $40 (I used to pay $60). It costs me only $20 to fill the Sonic! (Both vehicles get roughly the same number of miles on a tankful.)

I do miss the Xterra when riding around rough ground or flooded areas. The ground clearance was such I could crawl underneath it w/o lifting it.

The car I owned prior to my Sonic was a '09 Cobalt SS/TC. Bolt-ons / Tune is all that was done to it.

Had a rusty 2000 kia sephia, it got between 30 to 32mpg, had a great viewing angle, but crapload of quirks and little issues, the dash around windshield vents warped and peeled up, and it was making weird noises. I bought it for 400bucks, drove it 3 years dd only car, and sold it to a buddy for 200bucks. So unfortunately i still see and here about her falling apart.

Good side is the heat and ac always worked.

My first car was a '99 Ford Contour Sport V6 5-speed

Then I decided to get an '03 Ford Mustang GT 5-speed as a toy after I graduated college (which I ended up selling after I moved to Georgia)

Then I replaced the Contour with an '05 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 5-speed as a DD because my Contour burned up an alternator every year...

Then this happened in an ice storm....

Then I bought my '13 Sonic RS 6-speed new right before I moved to Georgia

2006 cobalt ss and 2008 trailblazer ss. nothing really happened to them persay, i thought i was over the speed phase so i traded the trailblazer in for the sonic and sold the cobalt...worst decisions i ever made i love my sonic, i just wish i could've kept the other 2 AND got the sonic lol

i miss everything about my TBSS i belive mine might have been a factory freak. stock i managed an 8.83 and with a tune only i got 8.6 out of it. from what the tbss forum said everyone els stock was in the 9s. so i thought i was doing pretty good.check out my youtube channel i got some vids of it at the track and what not

I have a long list ... My most recent prior was an 07 pontiac torrent fwd I didn't hate the vehicle but it just wasn't "me" I like hatches and ricer cars (excluding hondas) I have a long time thing with vw gti's (3rd gen 90's models) but anyways The torrent I was looking to trade for a jeep when the transmission started slipping the day after test driving the one I was going to negotiate on.. They had me drive a sonic sedan and I fell in love for some weird reason.. I ended up having them bring my hatch up from another dealer and am happy with it.

I still have my beat up cherokee that is worthless so it's my winter vehicle basically and a play toy.

I had an 87 Volvo 240 wagon that finally had to be put to sleep due to cancer of the floor pan. The car wasn't much to look at but I'm not sure a more reliable car has ever been built.

Kind of wish I had kept it and maybe one day restored it.

I had a 2009 BMW 1 series. But I wrecked that so bad and my parents wouldn't get me a new one, I had to choose a B segment and after much research the Sonic came up the best and that's what I got. And I love my choice.
