Battery was dying and the odometer was reading ----. Changed the battery, but odometer is still reading ---. :confused:

So the CEL light came on and the dealer said I need a new catalytic converter at $900. What are my options? I will definitely get it done at an independent shop, but that still may cost over $500. Looking for opinions on what to do :popcorn:

Took it to the dealer, but they can't look at it for 3 days, they are backed up :mad:. Would this be considered powertrain and be covered under warranty? Thanks.

Is it normal to have a whoosh / hissing sound? Almost like a belt slipping but not as high pitched. I hear it at low speeds occasionally. I thought it might be the BOV. Can you hear it. Its seems to last for about 2-3 seconds.
