1.4T Modifing stock airbox

I'm thinking about cutting the bottom of my air box like some others have and was wondering if there's a how-to around here to show where it was cut and any cons about it?

I drilled six 1" holes in the bottom of mine. You can definitely hear more intake "growl" but it's not like a full open intake, very subtle.

I didn't want the full open hole because I felt I would be replacing the filter more often from dust contamination. Been running like this over a year with no adverse effect
