1.6L Turbo Sonic

Has anyone had a serious look to see if the 1.6L turbo from the Cruze will fit in the Sonic? I saw a low km engine for sale the other day for $1200, it sold pretty fast. If it was a relatively easy conversion it's something I'd seriously consider in the future.

Are you asking about the DI 1.4T scheduled to go into the Cruze this coming February or the diesel engine currently available (I think)?

Just checked Wikipedia to see that the U.S. didn't get the Cruze with the bigger engine.
In Australia the Cruze SRi got the same 1.4T that is in my Barina & your Sonic.
In 2013 the updated Cruze SRi got a new 1.6T engine with 181hp. Both of these engines are from the same family & look very similar. The same 6 speed transmision is used on both engines so I think they would be very interchangeable & the 1.6T would be a really good option for an engine swap one day.
