I see the old-ish ( cheap ) cartoon for them all the time on the tube -- so I thought I'd give them a whirl --

Well -- the antenna was the wrong part - the threading was too small -- yet to RockAuto's credit -- they'll send me a replacement first -- then I'll send back the wrong part --

Sooooooooooooooo in the mean time --- new cat toy -- LOL

Now its -1/2 for RockAuto

They be now telling me -- "I" ordered the wrong antenna & I should have checked my RPO code first ( yet the web page said it would fit -- my code is UBA and Wifey's Trax code is U71 and her antenna fits the Sonic --

Could my antenna base be wrongly installed from the factory ?

Im guessing you ordered Sedan from the pic of the cat, and your profile shows a hatchback

I've never had any issue with Rock Auto! They ALWAYS send me EXACTLY what I order. Just sayin.....

I never blindly order from rock auto I always cross reference part numbers to make sure.

I do order about $100 worth of protec filters a year though...

I tried Wifey's Trax antenna -- 1/4" X 28 threading -- kinda fit my Sonic -- previous owner butchered the caisson threading -- so I dressed it up with the correct thread -- it wasn't a bottoming tap - but it caught a few threads --- Trax antenna works & the new radio sounds great --

So I ordered another stock antenna from Rock -- showed up in two days -- happy again --
