Howdy good folks
well the time has come to delve into the timing belt change, so got my serpentine belt and tensioner, gates timing belt kit with water pump, valve cover gaskets, engine mount bolts, thermostat and housing, oil/filter (motul and Delco) and of course the timing belt specific tools. Going to DIY all this of course. Before I delve head long into the pit of dispair, otherwise known as the GM equivalent of BMWs triple bypass, is there anything I am missing, anything to look out for, and other parts I should be inspecting and looking at replacing while I’m in there?
I know there are individual how to videos and threads in the group about specific tasks, but just seeking a general idea of what sort of journey I am about to embark on, and if I may encounter any surprises along the way.
thank you once again good folks of the Sonic owners forum hive mind, may this forum live long and prosper
cheers
