Hello all.
I just bought a used 2013 Chevrolet Sonic 1.8L 5-Speed with about 95000 miles on it. As soon as I bought it I drove about 2 blocks and while taking off from a stop sign the engine lost connection with the wheels. I thought it was a transmission issue until I got it pulled home and up in the air to find out the driver side CV Axle had been stripped out and came out of the transmission. I bought a new axle got it put in (among a few other things I tackled since it was just bought.. timing belt, brakes, etc.) and got it back on the road today and drove around most of the day without an issue until I was again taking off from a stop light and I heard click click click and lost power to the wheels again. I'm assuming my CV axle stripped again.. not sure if it is the brand new drivers side one again or not until I get it up in the air. I am pretty lost on why a brand new axle or even any axle would strip out twice within a day of driving. Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
