Hey all! I've got an issue with my 2013 Chevy Sonic LS. (When doesn't this car have an issue though tbh haha)
The car overheated while I was in a drive thru and before I could turn it off I heard a loud POP noise and then white smoke started coming from the driver's side of the engine. I checked to make sure it wasn't a head gasket issue and my oil is clear/there's no heavy smoke coming from the exhaust. I also checked the radiator, no cracks or issues.
I did just find a huge rip in one of my hoses though in the EXACT spot I am seeing the white smoke coming up. (I'm assuming it's coolant burning, since I can see some coolant pooled in little outside parts on the engine)
I want to be sure that this could be a viable cause of this issue and also I want to be sure I have the right hose for replacement. It's awful trying to get into the engine to this hose and my pliers won't fit for me to remove the clamps.
Could someone confirm or deny that this is the upper radiator hose? I put duct tape on there so it would be easier to see! Thanks!
