2013 sonic rs auto acting up

While I was data longing the other day I noticed a hesitation between 5th and 6 gear at 5 to 6 thousand rpms then later on that day I was passing another car on interstate and it fell on its face about 5500 rpms so bad it would not even shift to 6th I backed out of it baby it tell I got home removed the trifecta tune back to stock and took it for a spin at first I though it was ok but then I could feel between 5th and 6th agine a pulsating effect. Im not blaming the tune I have no idea what the problem is if im not on it the car is smooth as a rail has any one had these same symptoms and if so what was your fix. I will take the car the dealership if I have to but only as a last resort I dont trust them at all.

Just wondering, but is your intake manifold ported?

If not, 5,500 is about as far as you can push it RPM wise. As far as it not shifting on its own, try letting out of it and see if it will shift to sixth.

I have an automatic myself, and on a few occasions during some spirited driving my TCS steps in down low, and the ECM will step in up top.

So you were data logging at nearly 120mph?

I'm thinking my dealer would laugh me off if I told them that it just didn't have the same passing power past 115mph as it has at say a normal speed of about 65 to 75....

i was wrong it is between 4th and 5th gear between 5 and 6 thousand rpms

And it isn't just passing power it falls on its face some times like u unplugged 3 of the 4 plug wires but the odd thing is it never throws a code of any kind. Thats is what makes me think it may be some thing simple.

my car did this to me a week ago or so, did it a few time , then hasnt happend sence. it seemed liek i would hit a rev limiter almost around 5500 rpm and it would sputter a good amount.

i am thinking this may have been a bad tank of gas combined with the car not dialed in yet i receved my retune from bnr and it is so much better i toped the car off at my normal gas station it is a new car so much more crisp and smooth i am going to check the spark plug gap tomorrow and install my catch can

If it repeats and u figure out why please let me know what the problem is. I think I know what the problem was ill just have to wate and see. I fueled at a station I had never fueled at before and I think I got a bad tank. After refueling and putting my re tune in it is so much better.

I re gaped my plugs yesterday they were off. 1st one I pulled was set at 23 2nd was 25 3rd was25 4th was 26. I set them to 29. This morning I learned trifecta says 28 so next time I have them out ill reset them to 28. Car feels smoother
