So I bought this 2012 Sonic LTZ 1.4t M6 back in June with 40k miles on it. It currently has 65k miles and I've noticed a few issues with the transmission. When skip shifting into 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, it grinds pretty loudly. From a regular up/downshift, it doesn't do it. Mainly from like 3rd to 5th, 5th to 3rd or 6th to 4th. The dealership says it's the synchronizers and that the transmission has to be replaced since it's non-serviceable. My extended warranty refuses to pay for it all because I did my own oil changes 
I wasn't sure if it the dealership would be accurate about this considering they've misdiagnosed a coolant issue 3 times already.
