a/c problems

has anyone had any problems with their A/C lately? As of this moment when i turn on my A/C to cold air, it only wants to blow out warm temp air and also there is a rumbling sound that goes on every so often in like a few seconds intervals. Also ive noticed when this is going on and when i have my A/C on now my acceleration seems to be alittle under powered than before, it takes more time to bring up speed than it normally would when i shift gears. I have a 2012 chevy sonic LT 1.8L 5sp manual. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like your low on freon. Just don't go buying one of those "recharge your Ac yourself" kits. There are other issues that can be going on causing the same symptoms. If you don't know what your doing you will 1) waist your money. And 2) do damage to the system. As far as the acceleration lacking when the Ac is on, that's normal. It takes power from the engine to turn the Ac compressor. The lower the power of the engine the more noticeable it is.
