Aftermarket radio Install . help please.

Hello, I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic LT with the stock MyLink radio in it. I'm trying to find help because I need a radio harness or something to install a aftermarket appleplay/android audio radio in it. The MyLink radio screen in my car is busted so please dont come at me about leaving the stock radio in it. I already have subs and an amp hooked up to it but I would love to get a radio harness for it so I wouldnt have to cut anymore wires since I dont exactly know what all of them go to. I would go to Crutchfield.com. they will be able to point you in the right direction. I have ordered from them on many occasions and they have not failed me yet. Give them the part number or the radio you plan to install and they will have an entire installation kit and can suggest a device that will allow you to keep your steering wheel controls active.

I second that! Did aftermarket in my chevy cruze, and they had the exact perfect fitting parts...

I third on using Crutchfield they will include everything you need including harness adapters ect I've used them before on past cars and their customer service is very good. Please post an update on doing the installation of you would as I'm planning to do the same down the line but I have a few upgrades that are priority to a radio as the factory radio and speakers are actually pretty darn good.

Also one more side note to using Crutchfield they also usually will have removal instructions for your old stereo which really helps even sometimes you can find videos on their site of removal if you don't want to do it yourself the only major store id recommend is best buy they did my old mustangs radio it was a seamless install and comes with a warranty.

Crutchfield has apparently been sold out of them for a while so I'm probably going to have to get it from somewhere else. Any suggestions?

Which aftermarket unit are you trying to hook up that would help in finding you the right adapter as most are manufacturer specific. You can usually also contact Crutchfield and they can make an adapter if needed or your local car audio shop can make one if it is not available. If you have the technical know how it is possible to do yourself however very unpleasant with vehicles this new if you want to still have full integration ( especially if you want the steering wheel buttons to still work ) but I would definitely try the two links above even sometimes you can find the adapters at best buy. If you can tell us what stereo it is I could be more help finding it.
