Air conditioner question - noise?

I've noticed that the air conditioner sometimes makes a hissing noise, like pressure being released, happens several times. But doesn't seem to happen everytime the A/C is used.

Any ideas? Is it normal? Warranty up end of July so need to make sure everything is tip top before then.

Pretty sure that is normal,my sonic has done that since it was new.I think you should be fine as long as the AC is blowing cool air.

Mine has done this since about 2014. Seems to happen most for me under light initial acceleration from a stop, only with AC on. Hasn't caused any problems and as wpgsonic said, still blows ice cold.

None of my other vehicles make the noise either. Nice to know I'm not the only one though.

AC noise

I had to have the blower motor replaced (under warranty) due to this noise with only around 20K on the car.
