Sorry your dealership experience was so bad that time. Its seems they go one way or the other. I was just impressed my dealer treated selling this little used Sonic to me with the same importance as a new car.
My first Sonic buying experience was NOT good. I special ordered the car in 2012. Being in PA, we don't have front plates. The dealer in question was in MD (my local PA dealer had zero interest in ordering the car). I made a firm point that I did not want holes drilled into the front bumper of my newly ordered Sonic. I reminded the salesman no less than three times over the course of the couple months it took to get the car built and delivered. Honestly, I felt kind of stupid reminding him that much as he repeatedly assured me that would be no problem.
The night I showed up to get the car, the salesman was proudly circling the car, eager to tell me about all the features. Of course mounted right smack in the center of the front bumper was a dealer advertising plate. I shut him down and refused to take the car. The general manager got involved and said the car would have to be re-ordered and I'd have to wait 2-3 more months (trying to pressure me into taking it). I said "Fine, then re-order it". He was shocked. Two days later, I go a call from the GM. They had switched the grill/bumper section out with another Sonic that didn't have holes in the bumper. I know, it was alot of hassle for some holes and I was stubborn but...
