Airbag issue

So my airbag light came on today. No big deal, I just called thoe dealership first thing. They came and got the car, then called me back and said that the SIR module was malfunctioning and that the parts wouldn't be there for a few days. I said that wasn't a problem, and they brought my car back to me. Should I give them the car back and demand a courtesy car, or should I just not drive it very far (because it is still driveable)? Either way, I'm not sure why the module screwed up; I'll have to ask them.

depends on what kinda rental car they give you. when i took mine in and they gave me a HHR i demanded my car to be done same day. lol

Sorry to hear about this inconvenience you're experiencing with the airbag. I'm sure the dealership determined your vehicle was safe to drive while the part is being delivered. You can try asking for a different vehicle until yours is fixed. Can't say exactly what they'll tell you though. Hope all goes well!

I got my car in and out today, and the light's off now. The description on the paperwork says: "Code B0013. Removed and cleaned module; had no effect, the light just came back on. Proceeded to replace SIR coil assist and retest--all okay at this time."
