Hi all I have made a small update to the design of the aluminum outlet nipple for the 1.4T motor. Some owners have been having trouble figuring out how far the fitting has to be pushed into the outlet. I think I have come up with a solution by machining an extra flange at the top of the fitting. This flange disappears inside the top of the outlet when installed correctly. If the flange is still visible then the fitting is not pushed in far enough.
The fittings still cost $38 for both Cruze and Sonic styles. This includes shipping to US destinations and pretty much just covers my costs.
Like before the fitting comes with 2 O rings in place of the single O ring on the plastic OEM fitting and it will never break unlike the plastic version does. The fitting fits both the plastic and all makes if aluminum aftermarket outlets EXCEPT the Racer X outlet which requires the 1.8 style fitting which I also have available.![20250211_181959.jpg 20250211_181959.jpg](http://www.sonicownersforum.com/forum/data/attachments/15/15543-b97d128730a7608a1a7fb0603d8c95ee.jpg)
