Are zzp and ebay catback the same?

But dont they have to look similar to fit? All the components of the ZZP are a shiny polished stainless steel.. My ZZP came with the second cat removal pipe which has the flange. and then clamps to that straight pipe....or you can order it with a high flow second cat..that I think would ,again, clamp to the straight pipe.
The ebay one may be designed connect after the stock second cat hence that flange on it's straight pipe.

Yeah, to a degree. Both Magnaflow's and Borla's look very different, though. It's just weird how identical the ebay and zzps are, like with the (IMO ugly) extra long tip that go all the way to the muffler.
My guess is that the eBay version designer just bought a zzp catback and completely copied it!

If you're really on a tight budget and don't want to wait till you can afford to buy the real deal, then go ahead and get the one on eBay but keep in mind that most of the stuff that's found in eBay is a nock of, a copy or simply an imitation of the real item. For certain things it doesn't make a big difference if you buy them on eBay or from somewhere else but for something like an exaus,,, I would rather wait until I can get a Borla or a ZZP instead of buying an eBay exaus that might be rusting away a year later.

I'm probably getting a magnaflow, myself. it has no 90° bends and I always liked mf mufflers.
It was just an observation I had while searching on ebay how i thought i was looking at a zzp but they didnt mention anything about it. The eBay one is stainless so I doubt it will rust. I think if someone's looking at the zzp they're in budget mode anyway so the extra hundo might be worth the savings. But it is ****ty if they just completely stole the design, so in that respect I say go for zzp.

I got the DNA catback off Ebay for under $200 shipped. Sounds great and looks good. All stainless, not going to rust.... really deep sound. It has a 4"rolled tip instead of a 3". The flange where it bolts up to the cat felt cheap, so welded on a new one. Been running it for 4 months, zero issues.

Actually, because of a tight budget, I have emailed the ZZP guys who are selling the full, race exhaust (primary cat back, no muffler, resonator or second cat) and they seem pretty legit. I had some questions about it and they were really professional about it all. And, after contacting ZZP from their website, they confirmed that the eBay section is infact a part of the ZZP company. Just a different section with a different inventory.
i am thinking about an ebay DNA one myself. $200 is cheap, most of the time raspy crap sounding, but a $40 resonator will fix that. if the muffler goes out after a yr, another $40 thrush muffler will take care of that. all for still less than the others. BUT the 2.25" piping instead of 2.5" is what is kinda holding me back.
I did 2.25" custom exhaust and wish I did 2.5" because it's more common when wanting to swap out different pieces of the exhaust.
