Average tranny temp for 6spd auto

What is everyone seeing for temps in their auto trans?

60mph I average around 160-170 degrees at 70-80 degrees air temp
75-80mph I'm averaging 195-199 degrees

The higher speed temps are what concerns me a touch. I'm used to my pickup never seeing above 170 degrees ever even when hauling a trailer. What is everyone else averaging for temps?

How are you seeing the transmission temperature? I don't have a gauge for that.

I have a set of aeroforce guages in my car on the dash

Ahhh ok. Most of don't have that.

I will say however the fwd automatic transmissions do tend to run hotter then there rwd counterparts. I guess you could always install and auxiliary cooler if you are that concerned with it.

Wondering if it will make much difference if I change the grill or relocate the front plate
