barina conversion

Im gonna start a thread for my barina conversion, its not gonna be perfect or 100% as you know barina parts are next to impossible to get a hold of but im gonna make do with what i can ill post pics before and after and where I get the stuff from.

I remember seeing one person (cant remember if here or FB) removed the front bowtie then cut the where the top and bottom part of the outline of where the bowtie sits to make it flush.

Yea I was considering that I'd rather not hack up my stock bumper I have a temporary solution for now just moved my license plate up a few inches to cover the bow tie and I am gonna get a australian plate under my normal plate, I got my holden front and rear emblems in today from aliexpress only like $15 a piece.

Looking good. Majority of the time people dont know what a sonic is and i get asked "what kinda car is that?" quite often. I can only imagine what people will say when they see those badges

Yea I know when I debaged the sonic lt a few months ago I had also just moved into my new apartment a lady probably in her 40's was walking her dog and was like what kind of chevy is that the front end is neat lol

As an Australian living in the US, this is really cool. If I do buy a Sonic, I would like to do this. I also contemplated what to do with the front grille, since the cross-bar does have those insets for the Chevy bowtie. Your solution with the license plate was an easy one, and looks quite good. When you first explained that you were bumping up the plate a few inches, it sounded tacky. But the end result looks stock and like the license plate belonged there the whole time. Well done!

Are you going to put the "Barina" badge on the trunk (boot) as well?

I did this same thing to my Aveo about 10 years and it was fun seeing people's reactions. They either didn't know what it was, or thought it was imported.

Yeap, I would do this to my Sonic if I get one for sure!

i traded this one in on a turbo model last year im probably gonna do the same thing but i cant track a barina badge down to save my life, just the holden ones
