Black LTZ - Mod mod mod

Just got an LTZ down here in Austin. This thing is fun, but I want it to be even more fun.

Thinking about:
Putting in a Injen cold air
New exhaust
Red rally stripes

Tore out the white, sand(?) filled pouch at the top of the air box because I heard it was an unnecessary sound dampener. However, I haven't had anyone confirm that. Thoughts?

This is my first new car, so I'm leery about modding. Anyone know if modding voids the bumper to bumper warranty?

Sounds like you have a great idea of what direction you want to go with your car. For the intakes gains to actually stay (not be learned down to stock out puts), you will need a tune. I think I read on here that bag absorbs gasses put off by exhausts in traffic. As to your question about voiding warrenties, the short answer is no. The part installed has be proven to have caused the damage (Magnasun Moss Act) and only voides that part. Say you install lowering springs and damage your CV shafts or transmission, then yes, that porition is voided. If you are caught with a custom tune you engine warrenty will be voided, but Trifecta has proven that at the tech level you can not see that any thing has been done, it shows no additional tune logs and looks like a stock tune even while installed.

Some one here put it a good way, if it touches a sensor or removes smog equipment your probably asking for trouble at the dealer. But, in the end, if you do not feel comfortable modifying the car you might want to wait until the warrenty is done.

Ya, I've heard dealerships can really be a pain when it comes to modding. I'm gonna put some black vinyl on the bowties - if my tranny goes out they'll probably blame the vinyl.....

Tell me more about this tuning though! I like the hidden aspect of it haha.
